A spectacular display of patriotism
Witnessing the mile-long fence adorned with hundreds of American flags in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee
I’d been struggling with what to write for the Fourth of July until, while scrolling through Instagram, I stumbled upon an incredible reel by lovelyfranklin and franklintn. The video featured a sight that took my breath away—a fence stretching for over a mile, adorned with hundreds of American flags. I was intrigued. Now, you know me, I was going to have to go and see it for myself.
Leiper’s Fork is maybe 20 to 30 minutes from Nashville traveling down Old Hillsboro Road. As we turned onto Bailey Road on the way to the cattle company I was filled with anticipation. I knew it would be amazing, the flags waving one right after the other. It did not disappoint and truly embodied the true essence of patriotic pride!
I know I can’t do it justice but the video at the end will at least give you an idea. If the video does not work, you can see it on my Instagram monalisanashville. Of course, while you’re there, go ahead and follow me.
A truly extraordinary experience unfolds
The Semler Cattle Company is the proud host of this incredible display. When I got back home I went to their website to learn more (being a graphic designer, I couldn't help but appreciate how beautiful their site is). It didn’t take me long—I believe I’m going to have to become their new customer.
A return to traditional ranching.
In order to establish the best cattle company, we purchased 250 pristine acres of farmland in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee. With a rich history dating back more than a century, it’s clear that generations of people have recognized the potential this land offers for herding and homesteading.
we cultivate some of the most nutritious & delicious meat you will ever taste.
What caught my attention on this little excursion was the land itself, the cattle, the horses and the charming homes along the way. Oh, and what about the unexpected surprise of zebras at Semler Cattle Company! I'm not entirely sure of the story behind their presence, but there they were, adding an extra touch of wonder.
Rediscovering the beauty of Leiper's Fork
It had been far too long since I last visited Leiper's Fork. When I was younger, I spent many weekends going to this neck of the woods where my friends would meet up to go cycling. I never tired of the vistas. Yet, as I was driving through the area on Sunday, I fell in love all over again with the breathtaking countryside, the rolling hills, and the myriad of farms, including several horse farms and stables.
I’d have to say the timing was great. Seeing all the homes draped in red, white and blue was so fun. Truly, this was a sight to behold. Thanks Semler Cattle Company for getting me out of the house and reminding me, not only of, how lucky I am to live in this beautiful place, but also how blessed I am to live in this country too.
God bless America
I cherish the United States and consider myself fortunate to call it home. On this Independence Day, I wish a heartfelt "Happy Fourth of July" to America, a nation I hold dear.

What’s up next?
My Leiper’s Fork day-trip doesn’t end with the American Flag drive, so be sure to watch out for my next post where I delve a little deeper into a few places in this small quaint town in Middle Tennessee.
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!
Nice reflection, Lisa!
