Art in Nature
Winter sculptures: the beauty of trees
My mother used to say that she loved trees in winter because without their leaves, they looked like sculptures. I’d never really thought about it like that, but she was right.
Walking the greenway in winter reminds me of my mom's words. No matter how dark and dreary it may feel, there are still bits of beauty to behold. These little moments fill me with awe, breaking through my typical wintry doldrums.
Winter trees are like sculptures in the sky — their branches crafted by nature to form majestic shapes and silhouettes; spectacles against gray skies.
These winter tree sculptures are just one example that reveals how our natural environment can be an exceptional source for inspiration. There's something undeniably magical about discovering Art in Nature.
How do you feel about winter? If you live in Nashville, what is your favorite park or greenway?
Very nice. I love how winter strips nature bare and the light is different. You are right. There is more art to it in winter.
I love this ❤️
